It begins…

In multimedia this week we dove in full body, head feet torso legs, and made a “simple” how-to video involving the Canon 7D using the Mark 5D to record.  [these camera names may not be correct – I am a Nikon girl after all – excuse errors please]  I was amazed at how nervous I was.  Or maybe anxious is the better descriptive word.  Recording video is something I’ve never attempted.  Then there’s the added pressure of simply touching the illustrious 5D.  But our team – Flex A – came out shining, fumbling and bumbling along the way [me], but laughing the whole time and being supportive of each other.  I have big dreams for our group.  We’re all very different, but aimed toward the same place.  Like little arrows lined up, our faces pointing at this far-away, pot-of-gold goal.  We’re gonna make it.

What we do while we wait for assignments

Sure, we could be out creating scenarios, making costumes, dreaming big and bold and putting all of it to action.  And then taking fabulous and amazing photographs.  But no, we sit around and go to cafes, sit in chairs and look at each other.  We TALK big and bold.  Right now, we’re doing a lot of talking.

Soon though.  We will take action.  Leap into the air and become the photographers we want to be.

Daniels is taking my world by storm

Ok, so maybe I’m a little obsessed.  I’ve looked at almost all the videos these guys have done, read their interviews, and MAYBE, at one point, pretended to be and/or make-out with them.  That I can’t say for certain.  But one thing is for certain – they are just plain awesome.

This is the Making Of video for the Wheatabix ad in my earlier post.  The creative and dynamic duo behind the conception is … DANIELS.  Two guys named Daniel that met in film school and make cool, jaw-dropping, edge-of-your-seat videos.

Then there’s this.

Day One

Blog one.  Post one.  Day one.

Here we are in Multimedia I. Learning about blogs, online presences, the future of ourselves.  I’m excited to be here.  Maybe a little too excited.  I may have done a small dance during/before/after class.

Here, I will be posting my progress with photography, multimedia, school, life and any etceteras I deem relevant.

Go Blog!
